Hi all,

ive been having issues with low boost with no fault code on ecu ( been check after driving without ignition being fully turned off so ecu cant reset its self)

i believe iit mite be the boost control solenoids but im not sure what they look like or where they are,

any help would be great,

they are hiden, they are on each side of the engine just beside the turbo intake manifolds they are little round shaped things kinda like a smarties pack chopped to a quarter the size with two little pipes going in and out of it.

oops it wasnt what ive been looking at then lol. what i was looking at was square with lots of pipes coming out of it , 1 at the top left of the drivers side and the other infront of the battery mounted to the wing ?

no them little square things are those thingymajigs that do the hibadyhop on the skibadybo.

 

i think they are the aiv valves your talking bout but not 100% sure

No the one's you were looking at were (drivers side) AIV and EGR solenoids, (pass side) FPRV solenoid

if the boost solenoids are stuck open can they be fixed?

yeh i would if i had 1 lol;)

but im not going that route until everything is sorted and new chip fitted, dont wanna run before i can walk :D

yeah they are hiden. lemme bring up an engine bay pic and pin point where they are hiden gimme a min.

ok they are on both sides. to the side of each big turbo pipe. hard to explain.

underneath the plenum just attached to the cam covers.

thanks mate your a star , i'll pop out and have a look :)

but u will need to remove a few things to get to them. like the plastic turbo pipes and the little hoses connected to them.

They are mounted on the bracket that secures the plenum to the block.

follow the wire from the solenoid connectors to the solenoid the connectors are also on either side they are brown and black.

There is a black wire and a short hose hanging of the solenoid.

been trying to get intouch wiv ya for ages but everytime i rang u it said unable to connect lol
