Thinking of a Zed

Hi all,

After a bit or research I am thinking of buying a TT in the next few months. Although I'll have enough to buy the car and insure it etc, I won't have much left to fix anything that goes wrong. I have heard a few horror stories about running costs, and servicing bills so I want an honest lowdown on the car. If I take my time and find a good one within a budget of 6.5-7k, am I likely to be caught out?

Cheers

Alex.

hi alex, i bought my UK TT on a L plate in march for £7k, its been well looked after & was the cleanest one i had seen inside & out.

you will prob hear some horror stories as some owners have spent ££££££s on repairs!!

mine has let me down on one occasion, failed PTU (v common prob) got the parts from the states at less than 1/2 the cost of one here!!

they drink fuel like george best drinks alcohol at a new years party with a free bar!! biggrin.gif

I love mine to bits, they are great looking cars with superb performance

have fun

Do research (you have)

Look at some - be VERY critical - say to yourself that a f***ed Zed will probably go as fast as a good one.

Look at some more.

And some more.

Buy a good'un.

Have fun.

-only live once bud, you can wibble about potential cost till it sends you grey or you can find a good one, buy it and have a ball.

Good luck!!

Believe me if you search this forum for 'potential problems' , 'what to look out for' or 'timmy turbo's arse' you will never buy a zed wink.gif
