I just bought my 3erd Z and its #30 off the line for the 90 production my vin ends in 00030 its a black 2+2 auto I’m goanna do a tt 5sp swap :smash:

I assume no 1 would have been kept by Nissan... so anybody know where 2 &3 ended up?!

Unfortunatly 2 & 3 are prolly scrap but who knows run a car fax you have the vin number ;) lol ill post pics later today when i get off work

I'll have to get my vin number as mine is an early car.

 

Which part of the vin determines the number off the production line?

am i being very stupid.... the vin number that is the number on the plate at the front of the engine bay right? Or is that just internal nissan model identification?? God ive confused me self tonight...!

nevermind unconfused now lol - finally got fast to understand my car... Feb 1990 it would appear. Hell she is an old girl now! her 18th this month!

Don't forget that the Z32 model was originally built alongside the Z31 model in the latter part of 1988, so 1990 is some way down the production shedule!

I think Nissan has a strange vin no system as well, so dating the car's isn't that simple.
