I was driving no more thaN 2O MPH at bout 1pm today when a girl reversed out of a parking space causing me to spank the rear right of her bumper. i quickly ran after some young bloke who seen it and asked him to be a witness i took his number.

 

when i got back to the scene she was shouting f'ing and blinding, she wasnt happy.

she said why wearnt you looking where you were going couldnt you see i was pulling out??? What the fook???

she said its not her fault..... has she gone mad?.

i asked for her deatails but she wouldnt give me them and atempted to drive off so i had to stand behind her car to prevent her from getting away. at this point i rang the police, and vola she started to co-operate. i handed her the phone to the police she said it was my fault. but i had already told the police she tried to drive away and it was happening while i was on the phone to the police.

She eventually calmed down and we swaped details.

she said she had just sold the car and was buying a bmw and that this would mess up her insurance. AH now i see.

she offered me 100 quid to call it even. has she gone insane? thats not guna cover it. I said its guna cost more than that love. So i said il get a quote and let her know the damages and she can decide to go through insurance or not.

 

Ive been to my friends garage and he said it would cost £350 to get it sprayed. he then said if it was to go through insurance it would be priced with a new panel. which in total came to 185 for paint and 360 labour.

 

So its up to her whats shes happy to do.

i tried ringing her an hour ago to let her know the quotation but i left a message.

im so annoyed why cant people just admit to being in the wrong.

she knows it. I can see this one being a very long process.

 

When i pulled of it was obvious what she had done as my tyre was rubbing on the plastic cover under the arch, i had to get out and bend it back.

No thats not private land that is public right of way you will be ok, I know where you on about tho, if any probs lemme know the time it happened and i will see what I can do if ya get no luck as Royal bank of scotland have like 6 cameras on the front of the one building and I know for a fact the other companys have loads also. I spend best part of Mondays on them sites lol.

If the insurers won't pay out on roads like that then there are gonna be thousands of other places just like it too!! :eek:

"Private land" should only be places like car parks, NOT public roads!!

That roads a nightmare at the best of times and the way peeps drive around here is just amazing, they have no need for mirrors they kinda just hope lol. But with that in mind I dont think ya got any worries if you were driving at 20mph :D that road is a 30 zone.

can you remember where it was in conjunction to the front entrance so i know to tell what camera to look off ? say if you were looking at the building was it to the left or right of the doors. I know its a silly Q but they got about 18 cameras in that place lol.

ok its simple.

if you just step out of the place turn left and walk 15 metres down the road towards the small traffic lights, right there 15 metres from the entrance it happened and i was travelling towards the traffic lights which means bank is on the left. i was driving away from macdonalds :)

just to be sure the scotland bank is the place with the small kinda square overhang shelter at the entrance right?

ok so around where the car park is then, np I will see what I can get out of the security guys, well his manager coz hes a bit not all there lol. But neither is the woman one :S Hope I get something for ya :D

its not really a car park but a road with parking slots on either side at a diagnal position. just like the diagram i drew :)

its a long building with hanging baskets and a small over hang and either side is steelgates leading to the car parks so am thinking yours well within camera range. Yeah on one side the have slightly slanted spacing but on the other the park aligned to the kerbside.

just edited the last diagram coz i just realised the other side didnt have diagonal parking spaces but parallel ones, and i labelled the bank entrance which i think is correct, well it was some kind of entrance to somewhere.

Im with Andy on this one, you should of seen her...look how wide it is !! ..what was it...a tank ?

 

Also according to the yellow arrow you appear to be driving from the centre of the dashboard...no wonder you crashed !

 

..and you've got the wheels the wrong way round....widers should be on the back, you probably could'nt steer properly !
