But some people have been banned from this site for doing very little wrong. I'm not going to comment on the banning of zed world because I don't know that much about it.

 

I think we should support traders on the forum but I have had bad service from Andy!

I saw the pictures of the work Zedworld Did on Diane's car and know people who saw it in the flesh. As bad as it look on film they assured me it did not show the real extent of how bad the job was. It was very dangerous.

 

Then I've have had loads of good help and advice from Jeff and many people are pleased with him and swear by him. I do understand why Diane would never return to him though.

 

Andy has done a few jobs for me and I'm more than happy for him to work on my cars and can honestly tell you he does a good job.

 

I still think Phil at C & S Wood is The man. He is a perfectionist and leaves your engine bay cleaner tidier than you deliver it to him and he fixes stuff you didn't know needed fixing all included in the price he quoted. + He is the fastest worker on a Zed i've ever seen.

Well it is not bad service exactly, but you have not responded to my PMs

since you agreed to do the 60k service on my zed.

 

I have since found out that you will not be coming back down this way from other people and I have had to take my zed to someone else.

 

I really did want you to do the service as I have heard such good things about your work.

 

I'm not mad at you Andy (big hug!) but I would have liked a response to my last couple of PMs...

Anyone that works on these cars at sometime or other is going to upset someone, it's the nature of the vehicle and also down to personallities, both of the customer and the repairer. If they were straight forward people would either do it themselves or use Halfords. As a club we don't now have a forum garage, I wonder why ? I really admire anyone who puts their neck on the line to do work on these cars, and charge for it especially as some people can barely afford to run them let alone maintain them properly.

I heard all about this not good!Although i have gone there for Cam-belt change, Brake Discs, Oil changes and they have been very helpful and as previously stated by someone else good prices!

 

Although unfortunatly not all of us were able to get good service! Not pointing at any young ladies in particular :P

Its all down to personal prefference at the end of the day I have always used Zed-world as they are local to me and have alway carried out very good work not only that but, As i do a lot of the work on my Z myself Jeff has ALWAYS given me advise if i get stuck on anything, Sometimes iv been on the phone for an hour to him and he is always more than happy to stop work and help me out, Also very good prices on 2nd hand parts.

People seem to have mixed views about Zed-world but im not one to listen to stories and rumors I make my own decisions and I would personaly recomend Zed-world 100%

When I first got my Z I used zedworld a few times, and I can assure you I have no intention of using them again. He changed by HICAS arms but forgot to tighten the locknuts even though he was supposed to have tracked it up aswell, this also caused the bearings in my traction arms to come under excessive load and started creaking/banging all the way down the road.

Until 4 out of 5 wheel nuts sheared off on the motor way (left spacers on from my 17" wheels and put stock wheels back on)

drilling holes in my tie bars to make the wheel fit

hiding a very broken cross member with a piece of corrugated card to hide the damage

saying it had been jigged when it hadn't

 

I paid him 3000 pounds for the priviledge

 

 

My car has now been fixed though it has taken most of the five years to get it to a acceptable standard

What work did send it there for in the first place then??

I have only had smaller jobs done by them, Its mainly parts and advise i go there for and the service they have provided over the last 4 years has been very good.

Recently had major problems with Zed world :( would be interested to no of anyone elses bad experiences @ edd_stokes@hotmail.co.uk
