my cousin has just given me a chip for my 93 TT auto ,He bought it for his but found it was already done by veilside,

i didnt wanna fit it without knowing abit about them 1st so

has anyone heard of Innovative autosports before?

Ebay jobbie. Hmmm....they dont list 300zx there, but after reading the laughable S13 chip description I would get it remapped by somebody who knows what they are talking about !! - John Dixon, AndyP, DTA ..etc

i thought the same thing some of the feed back he has is pretty negative too

It's almost certainly a copy of someone's chip, if you're lucky it's a good one. Better to go for a known source really.

I'm the cousin. I got this chip to try but when i opened my ecu case i found that there was already a chip soldered in and stapped vailside ( was told my Z was Quick) but i de soldered it anyway to try the Innovative autosports. i put in a piggy back slot and tried the new chip.

 

went well but not as good as the vielside one and 1/4 mile times were 13.2 ish where as the veilside chip put me in to the 12.89 bracket.

 

I have had my Z for 10 years and the vielside chip was in it b4 i baught it so maybe it was mapped on the car but all i know with the other mods i have done including a unique way of using two bleed valves :x: the turbos hit hard and it goes like stink!

 

Oh i did destroy it once on the 1/4 mile melting a piston on my way to tuning it (23 psi on standard pistons DOH!), which left it dead for 2 years till i got round to stripping it and rebuilding it, but its been fine for last 4 years as i am now more conservative with the boost. ( 7 to 18psi depending on fuel and abient temperature) a real street sleeper plain, no external mods to add wieght and wind resistance or a big spoiler to act as a wind break lol.
