Temp guage said -5 degrees C in Nottingham this morning, and the Zed did not like the cold start at all! Got her started easy enough with a bit of gas, but wouldn’t start without some throttle., second time she fired up straight away! Is this normal in extreme conditions or is it a sign of worse things to come!

Mine always starts first turn Jon no matter how cold it is

So problem time then? it did start just turned a fraction longer than usual, I didn't have to keep re-cranking her.

to be honest, all zeds seem to start differently, and each are different each time. Ironically if mine is warm and its started it has to be cranked longer than if its cold, when its cold its instant lol touch the key and it starts.. But you hear a carpark of 6 start up and they are all different!

Could be your battery. Have just replaced mine (under warranty) and it starts much beter than before.

Mine has always started better the colder it is . Getting a bit sluggish now though...time to think about a new battery . I`ve had the car over two years..don`t know what battery life is for these motors .

The chaps at Z-Autos fitted a new temp sensor in mine and it starts as soon as the key is turned. Amazing for a 18year old car!
