I used to have a massive coin collection of over a 1000 of British coins dating back to George lll. They were all kept in a safe which was bolted to the wall behind. It consisted of early Victorian silver, shillings, sixpences, half crowns and two bobs, pennis and farthings, silver threepenny bits and some crowns. I thought they were valuable, that was why I kept them in a safe. When I moved house about 5 years ago, I had them valued to sell. £180 all in. I put them in the paper and sold them as a complete lot for £250. I have a huge stamp collection as well, which is probably similarly priced but cannot be arsed to sort them out to sell. You might get enough for a set of dust caps for them off Ebay, not the postage as well tho'.
