i really want one of these, ive read about them, ive learned about them and i love them, i have the space for a good kennel and a good backyard for it to spend its days in when im at work, it will want for nothing and will be loved to bits, it will be walked everynite and will be loved more than my zed, ive been loking after one on and off for a while now (although it has never spent the night) and it is fookin lovely

problem is, it aint trained to be a house dog, it lives on a stable and hasnt been disiplined, ourlass hates it because its too bostirous and flighty, so now she thinks all the dogs are the same, ive tried to tell her i can train it to be a lot calmer and more of an house pet, a loving pet a dog that would be trained and love you for it

anyone got one of these, anyone got any info on the breed of the dog, anyone had any experience

please post if you have, im longing for one of these

i dont like them, there an off breed from a dog that already been so inbred.

they look like a cross between a pitbull and a staffordshire bull terrier.

if she wants a better temprement dog then you cant go wrong with a boxer if its that type of breed dog you want, mines lovely, shes well behaved and boxers are one of the best temprement dogs you can get :)

if you fancy coming over this part of the world i'm sure your other half would change her mind ;)

Couple of pics of Nelly.

One at 8 weeks old and one a month or so ago

Johnson's are the breeders I'm guessing. He an American bulldog? British Bulldog is shorter and wider and have shorter mussels.

ive had dogs most opf my life, some have stayed oputside in kennels most of their lives and love it, one dogused to hate being in the house, it much preferred being in the back garden, i really dont see the problem of keeping a dog outside during the day, if its paddock is big enough and kennel is comfy enough no probs

I may be wrong but by the looks of it the johnson bulldog is an off breed of the pitbull and has a more bulldog head with a pitbull type body, i guess johnsons the breeder has created them that way hence the name after them?

heres a true american pitbull terrier

same body but with the head of a boxer/bulldog LOL

he looks like a right 'ard cnut the johnsons bulldog. I was looking for a british bulldog 15 years ago but they were real expensive. So I ended up buying a white boxer which was real cheap because she was white and the last left of the litter was also the smallest. Hearing was great as was sight(sometimes a problem with white dogs) was an absoluteley awsome dog had her 11 years. She did suffer from sensitive skin though and sometimes flared up. Miss her loads RIP Candy :( she even got on real well with our cats

i think breeders need a kick in the nuts repeatedly. all they mannage to create are animals with deformaties that have problem breathing and such.

get a Mutt from a home. theyl lov ya to death and yoou wont be in teh vets every 5 minutes.

your not wrong, i love british bulldogs and would love one but they have been so inbred etc that they suffer from terrible breathing problems and other bone and heart issues that the life expectancy is only 6-8 years for one nowadays :(

johnsons bulldogs are nothing like british bulldogs, they have no common ilness that i know of

 captain criticism has made a grammatical error! "muscles"

no but they have a similar head to a bulldog rather than a pitbull which is obviously due to the breeding to create the johnson breed, tbh i dont know much about them but with its head it will suffer from the same stuff that all the breeds with a larger skull and shorter nose suffer ie breathing issues etc, not saying your mates will, not all will but as a breed they tend to suffer from stuff like that, also if you do look at them make sure there are no holes in the hearts as thats also common and can seriously shorten the dogs life.

my mates johnson bulldog has a face more like a staffy pup rather than a british bulldog

tbh from looking at more pictures of the johnson breed it looks more like a boxer head rather than a british bulldog which is not a bad thing if its a distance breed with a boxer and pitbull as it will be alot more docile than a true pitbull :)

No, mussles...as in the head area. Not muscles!!!

they aint an aggresive dog, they are very faithfull and loyal, they are also very protective, loves children and its handler, they will fight to the death to protect its handler, ive found out they can suffer from hip problems, they are fine to be left on their own for long periods of time, need a bit of excercise and are good house dogs as long as it hasa big yard to run around in

this dog seems perfect for me, just need to convince ourlass to let me get one

every dog has the ability to be aggresive but its the way its been brought up but its also well known that the pitbull/pitbull type dogs just have that lack of control and can turn in a second, again not everyone will do it but its always there, again the johnson may be alot more docile than the pitbull?
