was woken up this morning to find our dog , keisha was giving birth to the pups , which was a bit of a shock as we had thought she had another few weeks to go

mother and babies doing well there a seven all together all pure white dunno what the sexes are just yet as we are leaving her alone for now to recover as she is quite tired and has got weird goo all over her and smells a bit too

the dad has been mooning about trying to get to her but were keeping them apart too as she might go for him cos he's a bit soft in the head and doesnt really understand whats going on at the best of times

anyway i'll post up some more pics of the pups as they develop and destroy our house the pics below are them at about 6 hours old

funnyly enough our lass said it was a misleading title sorry buddy

They are cute but it is easy to forget how much hard work they are! Our third friend arrived 3 1/2 weeks ago and it's just like having kids all over again!!

I cant place the breed?

thats a good weight bud the big lad weighed in at just under 15 stone when he was at the vets last month nearly as much as me lol

15 stone. **** me

Awww... my favourite breed! Is that a long haired Akita? We had one for nine years, a beautiful long haired one from Redwitch kennels. His pedigree was so good that if he could talk he wouldn't have spoken to the likes of us!

One of the most soppy and yet tough dogs on earth. Still a National Treasure in Japan as well. Shame they get such a bad press.... I put it down to crap owners.

your right mate you wouldnt believe how many people ive seen strutting with all types of so called badpress dogs just using them for a status symbol it makes mny piss boil cos they are the sort of nuggets whos dog would maul a kid and the debate of banning certain dogs would be brought up again.....so many times ive been out with mine and ive been spat at and told to " get that devil dog put down " if they knew him they wouldnt say that cos he's softer than a ducks bum

rant over

hi Matty how are the pups coming along is to bitch turning out to be a good mum.We might come up to yours in a few weeks to see the big lad and his family if thats ok will ring you soon

they are looking good and chunky. mum does look like shes doing a fine job

i know what you mean about dangerous and some people not treating them right.

I've got a rotty and a dogue de boredeaux weighing just under 28 stone between them but they are soft as anything. So loving and playful, yet people in the street still ask how we can keep them. One person even saying next time he sees them he's going to shoot them! Who is more of a danger to the public?

Anyway, beautiful pups!

I've always fancied getting a dogue de bordeaux but the misses is put off by the slobering and drooling (the dogs, not mine before anyone comments). How do you find yours?

Kat does not slobber and drool too much although she does at the sight of a Magners bottle lol

I was worried about this but it's nowhere near as bad as Turner and Hooch would have you believe!

The only time he's bad is when he has just had a drink, but i normally keep him locked in the kitchen after he has had his dinner or a drink so he doesn't slobber on the furniture.

Temprement wise they are so placid and funny, especially when they are puppies. They are not very hyperactive so if you go out and leave them they don't get bored and start chewing. Mine has never chewed once.

I would highly reccomend one personally.
