Took my z for MOT on 4th Feb, due to run out on 13th, so thought plenty of time to get it sorted IF anything needed to be sorted. Well it turned out needed nearside rear ball joint and front offside track rod. So off to Nissan who wanted close to £400 for both parts  as cant just buy the bush need whole arm. So decided to try Japtech, who gave me a good price, £140 cheaper so they said they can get it within the week. So thought, cool be just back b4 MOT runs out and ready for re-test :) Rang on monday 11th to hear order in we just need to check it you can come tmw by 12pm to collect. Thought pushing it a bit by my mechanic fitted me in for wed morn ready for re-test later that afternoon. Rang up to go collect parts tuesday to be told they were not on that plane and hopefully friday or monday  Obviously now I am not impressed and have just have rang them to see if in today and they have said it will be tuesday now :headvswal So I am left since wednesday without my z, and without it til at least wednesday next week  Luckily Dave has used the MOT place for years and I aint going to get charged for re-test so thats something I suppose. Just cant bear not to have my z on the road feels like my right arm is cut off  washed and polished it the other day and its just been sat on the drive ready for me to drive it

Rant over,lol

Suprised. Track rod ends are around £50, and Im guessing the rear ball joint was the Hicas arm, which is around £70.

BTW - Pretty sure I have a pair of brand new track rod ends in the garage.

I've always used Mike at MJP for Nissan parts for my Zeds, as you know He will send you the correct parts and they will arrive when He says they will too!

Cheerz,

Jez.

Well i paid £30 plus vat for track rod end(Nissan wanted £60 +) and £176 including vat for arm thingy, Nissan want £280...mjp was in between those to prices. Wish it was just £70 wouldnt care then but was talking £100 diff in prices.

Did put post on for arm, but didnt for track rod end :headvswal

Nissan wanted £60 plus vat, so I thought £30 plus vat was good for genuine part :)

Not had mine officially on the road since the end of Sept! Drove it to ZworX the other night for MOT and some other stuff. Really miss driving her.
