Does anyone know of any products that will remove silicon sealant once it has cured?

well bugger me sidewards then have develpoed an antidote. I've been in the trade 20 years and have never seen this before. Does it work? anyone tried it? as said stanley blade has alwas been the remedy. :bow:

i use a similar product on aircraft for removing sealant as blades are a big no no... its fookin nasty stuff and fizzles away, attacking on contact with the sealant.., people, eyes, finger nails, dogs, llamas and velour curtains. im not sure how good that commercially available stuff is against it though :)

you need what they call a caramel wheel, its like a hard rubber disc that you attatch to your drill and it will remove any silicone or stikaflex, (any sealer) you can get it from any paint supplier

yes we have to use them so not to damage any structure... used in conjuction with a good sealant remover and youve got a good combo :)

yep the solvent would also reduce the heat so you dont burn the paint
