i have de-catted my zed and fitted Apexi air filter, will a chip be beneficial or would i need a boost controller for it to be effective? i haven't upped the boost nor have i got a boost controller as yet. Just wondered if i would feel any benefits of a a chip?

My understanding is a chip will make the car slightly faster on it's own but only slightly.

But if you were to pair it with a boost controller or fit boost jets which only cost a couple pound you would notice reasonably big gains.

I have a full ecu for sale which has already been chipped which is just a case of unplugging the old and plugging in the new if interested.

Best advice i reckon would be ignore cheap chip mods with promises of horsepower, they often have no positive impression on your very complex ecu and brain whatsoever.

Get booked in with Zedworld, tamworth, who will do an ecu upgrade and up your boost all in one hit for just a few hundred quid.

This will give you good safe horsepower and more importantly TORQUE, but you can be safe in the knowledge that it will be fuelling and working all correctly and safely.

I'm booking in myself soon, and can't bloomin wait!!!

cheers, shrew
