I had a 3.0L V6 for about a year......... Great motors, they have all the toys leather ect, loads of space in the Lwb. The only down side was as big Kim said....They fooking drink petrol.

A mate of mine has a 2.8 diesel and he loves it ;)

Have driven one around in one a few times. Was'nt particualy impressed, quite crude and utliterian. I think one of the engines is known for head gasket issues...possibly the 2.8td ?

Not sure what sort of money they fetch these days, but if there anything around £3-£5k then the P38 Range Rover is a million times better in every way for the money. I suspect they are worth a lot less than that though, without checking.

there was a 92 diesel swb went at the car slaes a few weeks ago for £700

In that case thats a good buy. Thats Discovery 200tdi money, and I'd say as a 4x4 for the road the Shogun is better and well worth it !

allan if its a 4x4 you want then as a second choice you just cant beat these babys for all the toys and as far as comfort and road presence they imho kick the shoguns into the dirt mate...and you get a v8 ;)
