Just a thought, anyone fancy Bristol Classic Car Show 16th & 17th Feb for our next meet? Could chose one of those days? Mind you TVR club advertising it another site saying cancelled so anyone know if it going ahead?

This is just an idea so I can get some feedback ;)

To my knowledge this is still going ahead, I received a flier from National exhibitions only last week regarding buying tickets over the net. If it was cancelled, surely they would send out another notice.

Its held inside so no brollies required. Your getting confused you old fart with the Bath & West Agricultural show which has all them walking steaks, lamb chops and pork sausages around in pens. ;)

The reason for this is because 3 out of 4 of the next meets are going to be bristol for Feb and april and may castle combe. Therefore i think thats close enough to Glous. for these 3 meets, and march's will most likely be this end again.

I'm trying my best to satisfy everyone and i think driving over 120 mile for 3 out of 4 meets is more than enough, i will do one in Glous. but giving the locations and timing i think im being fair, sorry to upset anyone.

I will just put the list of the previous meets

I am sorry this looks like a whinge but you can see where we are coming from, It was the very same last year too. The only meets north of the M$ have been organised by me and white zed. It is not the fact that Bristol is too far it is that 10 out of 12 have been south of the M4

Thanks for listning

None of them are close to me apart from plymouth, but i attend them all, cant please everyone......

I'm going to try and get to a few of the Summer meets.

I hope we have another Summer meet at Ross on Wye like we did nearly 3 years ago. This was my first meet and it was a fantastic day out. Perfect weather, great turnout, good food.

Unfortunatly si the pub has changed hands and the new managment did not want us to do it last year. Infact thet were not interested at all, I can try and find out somewhere simular for the summer if anyone is interested.

Allan

Would be nice yes. Shame it's changed management. The whole park your car on the grass in formation and socialise/eat next to it was really cool. Probably the best car club meet I've ever been to. Nice and relaxing.

we may be able to get the hope and anchor this year as i have heard a whisper it may be changing hands again soon, dont want to go to the pub we used in 2006 as it was tricky to get into and not really enough space, but hopefully my zed will be back by summer this year so what you say al shall we try the hope and anchor again?

exactly what i've been saying for a while al no meets this end i know my car is not back and work is busy for me so a local meet would be good to catch up with everyone and not travel a hour to get there, not seen most of you since the last ross meet in 2006, but if nothing is going to be organised close to us why dont we organise our own meets for gloucester

Well knowing how hard it is to organse a date for the majority to be able to come is not so easy, so that looks pretty fair to me.. or are you just saying that the ones up that way dont quite go far enough up?

I see where your coming from Alan, its the same for Cornwall, its always difficult for members living in the outer areas of the region.... but then 10 out of 12 (80-85%) of meets being held south of the M4 is becuase thats the percentage of the Region that is south of the M4 so I dont think its unfair.

A Bristol meet is a fairly northern SW meet and is closer to Glouc than a lot of those that are likely to attend. Same for the 2 upcoming Castle Combe meets.

Would be good to get a meet up that way soon though and I'd love to see another Glouc meet similar to the "famous" ross-on-wye meet. Its about an Hour from me but 2 hours from Lisaf, wow300, RedZed..etc

I will organise one up Gloucester after all these events coming up..was meaning for feb to be up there but things keep popping up like this classic car show in Bristol, which I dont think is too far away from Gloucester considering we have to travel 120mile again. But as white zed says, nothing stopping you arranging your own meet, and maybe you will get a few from this end attending too ;)
