I BROKE DOWN.........

 

On the A45 going towards Wellingboro' about 10 minutes from Billing......

 

Lots of smoke, thought Z was on fire, on grass verge, opened bonnet......

 

GUTTED.........

 

Gearbox problem..........either the front seal has gone or the cooler pipes are split...

 

Either way it was pissing onto the Zorst and smoking like you wouldn't believe.

 

And to cap it all it took the RAC 5 (yes, 5) hours to pick me up!!! I did have some donations from people who had noticed I was waiting for so long and brought me water (cheers!! )

 

I spotted 7 Z's in total and only one waved and none stopped..........

Gutted for ya' you could have limped to site & bought the bits you needed off the breaker stalls, what a bitch.

 

 

Only people with legs can limp Harve, today my Z had both shot off by the master marksman (whoever that is!!).....

 

No chance of a limp but could do with the parts for me Z.....

 

I need it back on the road ASAP......And as I can't travel anywhere in it at the moment it's a DIY job.......my skills are expanding!

I feel for you!

I too broke down on the way to Billing, just past Daventry!

The oil cooler pipe blew on my Z31 covering one side and the underneath of the car with hot oil!(Had just spent hours cleaning the damn thing!)

The RAC took 4 hours to send a tow truck!Instead of going home I got them to tow me to Billing!(seemed a shame to waste all the beer in the boot!) Arrived at 12.30am in the morning and just left the car on the campsite for the weekend.

Phoned the AA to get back home...they couldn't fix the pipe...so had another ride on a flat bed .

Good weekend...Bad car!...hope I haven't done any damage to the engine or turbo
