WHich engine management system would you go with for your fully built Z

 

1. AEM EMS

2. APexi Power FC

3. Haltech

4. Microtech

 

I put the Apexi Power FC in there because can get my hands on one for the Zed from UAS Autralia.

I suspect the AEM will get the highest votes from your list but there are more options than you have listed out there for the z32

 

Picking the most powerfull club cars for example -

 

Mac_1 uses DTA Management

CJ uses Link XLEM G2

John Dixon is installing the Emerald 3DK

Machine's Pentroof runs the HKS F-con V pro

many of the USA machines running big power use zemulator, and what im going for after talking to a few guys from over teh pond

also apart from a limited few which were modified by border (i think) you cant get the apexi power fc for a zed ;)

I know zemulator is very popular over there, but I would have thought the big powered guys would of gone for a standalone so they could ditch the MAF setup?

They say its exclusive to them, and has to be fitted by them only. Not much good outside of Aus.

My car is fitted with the HKS F-CON plus the R-VIC boost controller and with the current problems is knocking out 386 bhp as per the last rolling road day. Now its been stripped and we found a host of problems which will of course be sorted on rebuild, even with standard turbos and injectors, I reckon it will reach 400 bhp, plus it is fairly good on juice. Watch this space, I will post up when completed and start pushing for another RR day.

it will be either the skyline GTR one or the skyline GTS one as there very similar but it wont run some of the zeds functions, i looked into it but by the time you made all the changes it was just not worth it, theres lots of other choices which are as cheap and just as easy to map :)

sod that, what a load of hassle and for exacty what gains. Its not going to give you anything more than teh others already do in respect of BHP etc.

 

This is why im going with Ashspec, its proven, plugs right in and uses teh Zeds settings and its cheaper. Plus its proven on 5 of the fasted USA zeds including the z1 1100bhp silver jobbie.

Is the ashspec a re programed standard ecu ?, this is something I think I am going to have to do later this year but it will probably have to be by the cheapest means available

What about Greddy e-manage ultimate is this just the same as zemulator?

I always thought the LiNK system was always well liked, and gave as many options as the AEM system
