Help! Experts give me some advice!

Here it goes... Short and sweet version...

My car is going in Mon/Tues to get the autobox replaced as other one went boom a few months back....

anyways.... the car has been parked for 3-4 months maybe a little longer... at first i did start her regularly... but then battery died and once in a while i did give her a little jump with the leads and bring her to life.... not done so for a while now...

anyways... today i put my battery on charge getting her ready to go to the garage on monday.... here is where the problems start...

SHE WONT START!

The lights come on.... looks as though she is going to roar but when i turn the key.... it ticks, sounds fine..... but doesn't fire up..... Here is my question....

WHATS THE PROBLEM?!!!

So please help me.... because I think I will cry as i been busy getting everything I need to get that damn box sorted... got me some Dexron III ATF,

also gasket for oil pan, some decats which were to go on at the same time... whilst she was parked i got a pair of Baileys DV36's which I thought would be going pssssst soon but if I can even start her I guess I'm one step further back than i started!

Help a brother in need      :(

lol do the same again clean all connectors it all you can do but do it bit by bit so you know which bit is causing the prob !

OR take out the fuel pump fuse and turn it over for 10 seconds and see if she kinda fires at about 9 seconds if she does you might have a compression problem !
