I have a slight steering judder which is pronounced under light braking, but the disc's are defo not warpped. Is this likely to be the front Tie rods?

 

also i have a slight leak on the bottom banjo of the power steering and I let the fluid get a bit too low and now even after topping it up it is still groaning and until the car has been running for 20 or more seconds the steering will kick back and not move the full rotation. IS this an air lock?

Have you got cookie crumbs stuff in the resovior ?

Never thought of that. Is that why the fluid is red? could it be strawberry Jam?

 

No No no ineed some proper advice. before i start fixing bits i don't need to.

Good chance the fluid has perished the rack mount so the rack is wobbling around a bit. Get some poly ones, only about £20 but a bit of a bugger to change with the engine in.

The groaning could be an air lock still. Fill the res up then with the car on stands twirl the wheel back and forward lots of times and keep an eye on the fluid as you do it. There's a seperate procedure in the FSM for HICAS but think we junked it on your TT anyway?

Also what kind of a job is it to make the wiring loom if I was to get a certain Red SWB back?
