Our daughter, Zhale Ellen, was born lunchtime yesterday after a long labour. Got to be honest Nerida only had a little bit of gas and air and didn't swear once, not even at me - I would've been on every drug they offered after the first hour and calling the midwives every name under the sun. Still, I survived the ordeal :D
For the ladies out there, she was 9lbs 3oz, has dark brown hair and blue eyes. They've been kept in hospital as little one isn't too keen on feeding at the moment, prefers to sleep, (which I really hope she'll keep doing, suspect that's wishful thinking, but I can dream) but should be home tomorrow.
Off to an empty bed now - got to get as much sleep as possible, might be the last chance for a long time ;)

First girl I ever knew to be early for anything.
