pc speaker help

i keep getting a hissing through my pc speakers the loader the volume the loader the noise gets and if i move the mouse it makes a noise, could my sound card be cr@p i have update the drivers but no differance

    have you got an input volume turned up (eg. microphone) - go to volume control, and then sound input/recording and make sure everything's muted.

    Yep, i would have said it's a line in too....... mute everything then un-mute one by one to see which one gives the hiss.

     

    Is the speaker plug fully home?............
