The benefits of upgraded Intercoolers

I'll be getting my car back soon (thanks to Mr Duff) with refurbed standard turbo's, rebuilt engine with 88mm pistons, underdrive pulley, decatted, profec b etc etc.

I'm hoping to run the car at 1bar of boost - would I see any benefit in fitting larger SMIC's, specifically the Z1 units. I notice "Steve-300ZX" has uprated his intercoolers and acheived extremely good bhp figures.

What do you think?

the stock ic's are quite small & are pretty much at the max of their capabilities at 1 bar, so any decent uprated ones should see improvement.

Phil the reason why Steve has such good BHP figs is because he is running a Genuine Nisstek chip (not a copy) that was custom mapped for his spec.

I think Steve is running the most BHP on here with a standard engine.

If you are interested speak to AndyP I am sure he has the dyno charts to compare.
