just opened a paypal account to pay someone abroad. But it is all in us dollars. Can =you transfer any currency or does it have to be in dollars?

Don't know about that mate but my advice would be don't leave any funds in it other than using it for transfers.

Very insecure, or was a few months back when a few of the guys on here had their accounts hacked. I think Danny lost money out of his account!

Actually, that was NoChex. They store money in an account, but you have to transfer it via debit card from you bank.

Paypal uses credit card payments direct, so you get stung for exchange rate differences but you should be protected by your credit card company. I use both but I avoid PayPal if poss. There is a web site for PayPal haters, can't remember the URL though.

Also, AFAIK it only works in US$.

Yep, sorry, my mistake! Doh!!! biggrin.gif

NoChex = NickedCash
