Hi Guys,

My technological clean sweep is continuing and I am gonna replace my old Psion 5 with a new PDA. Was thinking of a Palm, my budget would be a maximum of 150, but as always, I am open to suggestion!!!

I've narrowed the Mobile down to T68i, Samsung T100 and Motorola V70 (I know it don't do much but it looks good!).

I am not going to use either in synchronisation, any input/opinions would be aprreciated, if any anyone knows of cheap sources that would be good as well!

All the Best,

Mark

I've got a T68 and Compaq iPAQ 3870

If you're getting a T68i you may find it is all you need anyway. It has a full organiser built in and it syncs with Outlook via cable. infrared, bluetooth. It also retrieves mail from POP accounts.

You won't find a PDA for that price with bluetooth built in which is a shame as it makes for a seamless link between the two for internet and e-mail.

You can get a bluetooth card for about £80 now so see if you can get a PDA with an expansion slot of some sort - CF/SD etc

I've got (or rather had, It got nicked frown.gif ) a Nokia 9210. Granted it is expensive but not much more expensive than both a mobile and pda combined. As far as features go it wipes the floor with any of the above, and with the new plug in it has GPS!

I can't recommend Sony Clie PDAs highly enough. The hi-res screens are gorgeous and you'll wonder how you got by without the thumb wheel ;-) Not sure if the colour ones are in your budget, though.

As for phones, I use my Clie N770C with a Nokia 8210 and use the IR modem. Works like a charm, if a bit slower that a PC connection.

I have a Nokia 9110 and it is great - Nokia lent me a 9210 for 3 months and I was in heaven!! They asked for it back and I am in hell.

All the rest are pants compared with the 9210.
