putting z back together now. want to tighten the crank pulley and forund the torque to be 159-174 foot pounds! my torque wrench only goes to 150 ft/ibs

 

+ i assume you put the car in 5 gear and just rely on the timing belt to hold the torque?!? or am i supposed to hold it some other way??

Oh and I forgot to say - yes, stick it in 5th and heave away (unless it's an auto, in which case suffer the pain that I did. .mwahahaHAAHahaha ahem)

In 5th its the crank, gearbox and diff that are going to take the strain not the belt, and seeing as Mr Nissan decided to give the Z nearly 300hp out the box I really wouldn't worry about breaking anything with your torque wrench

he ripped me off tho bud he only gave me 222 hp ;)
