the drivers side of the exhaust pops like a quiet backfire when cold, also seems to miss and pop if i hold the revs at any certain point

 

if i reset tps or aiv or ecu it doesnt do it for a few hundred miles then starts to do it again

 

also tries to stall on pulling away, not so bad when it gets warm, again if i reset those things i mentioned it doesnt do it

 

any ideas peeps

i remeber a couple of years ago i took it to a nissan dealer and they said it definately had a miss on lets say for instance coil number one, so they changed one and two around and expected two to be missing-not the case, it started missing on a totally different coil

 

i was told to leave £200 andthey would work on my car till they found out what was wrong or till they ran out of money lol

 

any ideas if this could related to my still running prob and what would cause the coils to miss like that???

If the missing is intermitant between different coils it could be the PTU, might be worth borrowing a known good transister unit from someone.

It could be one or more coils with bad connection to the plug :hurl:

car drives ok (apart from revs droppingon pull off) when i have the auto and econ button pressed instead of the one with the windscreen on
