Does the jap spec petrol tank differ to the UK tanks,or more to the point the filler neck,is it possible to change the pipe or is it a full unit with tank?

cheers Paul

I think there is a difference as the japs take an age to fill up opposed to the UK ones, i'm not sure why but i presume there is a restriction in the jap's, got a feeling their garage nosles are longer the uk forecourts.

I agree mate so was hoping i could change either the filler neck or whole lot, regular visits to the garage take an age on a jap tank..lol

i find it you push the nozzle down (so its effectly point further up it works better. if you hold it up (i.e nozzle down) it cuts out all the time... :)

Both tanks are the same as far as fitting.

My Uk car with Uk tank is a pain to fill as well, but you can try different positions and its a bit better, mines the 7 oclock position... lol

i have a uk tank sat in my garage complete with filler neck ;)

I find if I turn the handle of the nozzle about 30 degrees towards the cap cover that works a treat otherwise its a pain and cuts out all the time

Its even harder to get a diesel nozzle in, have to really force it.....try it, see what I mean.
