Last week i posted problems with me motor and the ecu would not go into diag mode, put in an ecu from jap import to find problem solved, but as i have uk manual needed to find out if it was just ecu or newly fitted chip gone tits up, so after seeing how the SE chip rocks with some of you guys i decided against my better judgment to ring em. I explain ecu is already chipped and i just need the chip it self so i can fit and check things out, "will call back in 5 mins" they say, "will ask Pete" let me know soon then so i can catch tonites post, over 2 hours later i call back, different bloke this time goes off and asks Pete,NO, gotta send ecu to them, okay i say can do by special delivery but now it's too late for tonites post will do tomorrow, i explain that as it's only a job that takes the same amount of time to smoke a fag, can they repost same day back as it's delivered, yep can do, so Wednesday afternoon i call to sak if ecu is there safely, "no we ain't got it"

strange i say on the royal mail website it was delivered at 10.30am this mornin, "oh that will be the one Pete is working on now "

so i again ask that it goes to post office by 4.30pm, no probs he says. So next day no Ecu, i call em up asking if ecu sent, " no mate it's still sat here in a box unopened" i explained what i was told the day before and it's a" Oh right that one, yeah it's done, we missed last nites post, as it's 5pm weve missed todays as well, cos we ain't boxed it up yet" NOT HAPPY !!!!!

Assuming it goes in post today, i won't have this now till Monday afternoon, a full 7 days for a job that costs over £200, the time it takes to have a quick fag and as ever the usual lies and getting messed around, which is why i stopped using them 3 years ago, some things never change !!!!!!!!! It was after putting thousands of pounds their way years ago and getting this treatment, i was ready to punch Pete's lights out, only me mate literally held be back at the time and now i go back for one little thing like this and get same treatment, SHITE...........

I think Pete needs to sort these issues out, he is the one losing out in the end, lost revenue from lost customers. If he had good customer service at his Garage, he would be able to expand his business, employ more people, and do more cars.

 

This is the problem, unfortunately Pete, I doubt will ever wake up to this as he is obviously busy as fuck all the time, hence the cash is always rolling in.

Besides why the fuck should he, people keep flocking back giving him cash regardless a few biching about SE is not going to dent their bank account in th slightest, as long as he moves on to cater for the newer cars coming through as the Zed's become extinct then he will always be busy.

I presume the weekend is now going to be spent phoning each other and apologising for 'things said'! Wendy, don't think there are enough tampax in the world to keep this lot from leaking shit. As for SE, they are the only company that has managed to sort Mr T's car out, and he's been to plenty.... If they are a bit slow due to the amount of work they have then in my eyes it's certainly worth the wait. As someone mentioned if going to a Nissan dealer you'd be lucky to get booked in within 2 or 3 weeks. If I used a company and wasn't happy with them, would I go back? I think not, so why complain? They've done nothing but good for Mr T. Well look forward to an interesting but predictable weekend!!!!! xx

I don't give a flying fuck what names you call SE thats up to you,But I do take the buscuit when I am called a muppet and captive audience because i use them,they have given me 101% everytime if its posting stuff out to me, or working on my car.!!!

Timmy, the reason I haven't banged on about it is that I cannot talk about it really, since there are potential legal proceedings in the offing. Remember the damage "captured 300z" did with the way he went about things? I'm not intending to make those mistakes, no matter how much people on here want to draw stuff out of me. I have large dollar receipts for work carried out by SE Nissan on the request and payed for by the previous owners of my Zed.

 

Now three items that stick out are

 

1. Speedo conversion and limiter removal

2. Double plate clutch fit

3. Brand new battery fit

 

Now then - bear with me:

 

1. The speedo wont work at under 20mph and the limiter still kicks in at 140mph

2. The clutch slips at max boost in 2nd and 3rd

3. The battery is fucked

 

This work was all carried out less than 14 months ago.

 

Am I angry? - sometime I am, FFS those receipts come to lots and lots of money - ok not my money, but I paid over the odds for the Zed due to its history and work carried out on her.

 

So should I leave it at that?

Nope: I have never topped up the battery with distilled water so it is bound to be knacked, the limiter they removed I would assume is the 112mph one, didn't even know about a 140mph one and there is a small oil leak which I think may have fouled the clutch plate.

 

Two sides to every story in my opinion.

There is no 140 mph limiter, only 112 for Jap land and 155 for the UK. Often the speedo conversion moves the 112mph (~180km/h) to 180mph, which isn't too much of a problem.

Sorry I forgot you're the only one who owns a 300ZX on this forum!Well at least it seems like it some of the time!

I do run an import TT 2 seater(purchased 3 years ago) which spends most of its time languishing in a garage due to the infrequent spare time available to drive it.Therefore I am as qualified to talk/joke about them as the next man/woman.

Although I'm not defending anyone;if you post silly pictures of yourself and partner on a public forum you may well leave yourselves open to ridicule IMO.

p.s. I have felt the sting of "Mrs Turbos" tongue when I called her a "bint" some time ago, so I'm sure she's no shrinking violet and is more than capable of defending herself on-line

Well bugger me.. didn't expect all this, i simply posted what had happened to me, thinking that after all previous SE cock ups i've had, i really thought they would now be better, sad thing is to me they are not, i'm sure many people are happy with them, but the number that are not, is slowly growing, being a member of other Nissan related clubs, on line and off, this service is not uncommon. They started off doing the Silvia, then moved on to other cars, now anyone who has got a Silvia and uses SE will know more about the bad communication and customer handling problems, WHY ? cos the same amount of money ain't there as with skylines and 300zx's, I could list all the problems i have had in the past 10 years, some are really taking the piss, but i have said nothing, my car before i bought it was at SE and i firmly believe due to their work cost me a rebuild at great expense, can't prove it, so have not gone in to detail on this forum about it, however in this case, staff did not know their arse from their elbow.... did tell porkies, forgot to call me back, were getting paid £200 for a job that takes only minutes to do and costs less than £10.00 for materials, my gripe with that bit is, a lot of money for very little work is all the more reason to get the job done quick and back out again and yes i do know the costs involved in developing a chip.

Have i tried the chip yet ?? well when it arrives i will let you know, cos they only sent it out to me late yesterday, supposedly..... despite only one main request from me, "please send out no later than THURSDAY afternoon to get any chance of having it back before weekend" i only hope now that as my car is parked where it is, the little shites who enjoy damaging cars leave it alone, cos at weekends i can park it outside my house away from the main roads.
