ok guys, i want to buy these. will they fit an s2 jdm '94 lwb? i think they should, but i think as they have bulbs in them they are for us cars only, as those seems to have indicator lights in the side rears...

if they do fit - the seller wants payment via bank wire transfer as it's international. if they do fit anyone want me to get them some, too? we'll probably save on shipping.

if they don't fit - where can i get the same thing for a jdm car? or at least clear ones like on steve300zx's zed?

thanks

Yes they will fit and it is upto you wether or not you want to wire them in to work. if not you can just leave them as they are.

No problem. i think i might do that myself :)

when you say say laquer them - what exactly do you mean?

P.S. sorry, but i am not a DIY person :)

lacquer is the automotive eqivalent of varnish - it is a protective coat on top of the coloured base coat.

i would suggest to use plastic primer first, then base coat, then lacquer. all are available in cans.

lechler do a product called lechsys (i think) which will spray direct onto glass, plastic etc, i have used it in the past to make a red lens from a clear one.

i'm not sure if your local paint shop will load it into a can - might be worth asking though.

If you are going to wire them up, Be very careful.

I remember when I first got my 300zx back in '02 I tried to wire them up to the rear tail lights. Simple enough I thought but ended up blowing the controller unit that sits in the drivers side rear pannel in the boot. It took me ages to find out what the problem was and at the time I didn;t even know about the controller unit. I tried changing fuses and in the end had to work my way back form the rear lights with a multi meter to find out where the power stopped. Found it entering this little black box in the boot and then nothing coming out of it. Managed to get a 2nd hand one form AndyZ and tried again this time putting low amp inline fuses between the box and the lights. 3 fuses later I got it right. Turned out that someone who fitted a fog light after the car was imported made a right hash of the wiring.

So before you wire these up have a spare box handy just incase (about £10 2nd hand), and make sure you go over the wiring diagram with a multi meter.
