Well after scrimping a saving for the past 12 months, I've finally bitten the bullet and put the car in to have some, let's say...amendments.

1. Tein Superstreet shocks and springs

2. Tein EDFC

3. HKS Oil Cooler

4. Bushes

5. Tein Tie Rods and

6. Pretty Coloured Hoses for under the bonnet...makes it look pretty

7. Ancillery hoses for other bit of the engine bay

8. Timing belt

Once done she'll then be going in for a full respray from Metallic Green to a 2 tone metallic green/blue ish hue....

Have opted for handling over performance mods, as I feel she's quick enough as it is....

Will be the best and fastest 5K I'll have spent in a long time....my wife, isn't so sure, but I'm sure, that given time, she'll come around to my way of thinking.....

LOL @ my wife, isn't so sure, but I'm sure, that given time, she'll come around to my way of thinking.....

Seriously though, it's nice to see someone go with a different line of thinking instead of being power hungry and then the posts on why is car knackered that tend to follow! I'm doing alot of reading and research on this at the moment, specfically the brakes and suspension - one that seems to be recomened across the board is replacing the steering knuckle with a utherane, giving really good feedback and not alot of money.

Sounds good to me, hope you have alot fun with it!

I'm going the same way.Fitted teins, uprated brakes, alloy uprated radiator and associated silicon hoses, oil cooler etc, etc.I don't see the point in going for power if every thing else is not up to scratch either 14 or 15 years old and shot or underated. It's not as if it's a slow car is it.Once iv'e sorted a few other bits then i'll go chasing the horses. After all i'm not in it for the sprint i'm in it for the long haul. :D

Yep good to see people spending money on the suspension (dont forget brakes!). Far too many spend there budget on power or looks, leaving a tired chassis underneath.

Have to replace my disks next, but I'll sort that after the respray. Question. should I get my current calipers re-sprayed. Would like some 6 pot brembo's, but can't afford them currently.

After the respay, the interior.... Anyone know where I can get patterns for the interior panels.
