Belt replacement

Just taken the zed into main dealer to have the air con, power steering and fan belts replaced. As well as that my lock decided it was going to break so that was replaced. Total cost ~£320....mmmm, well?.

What do you reckon. Trouble is there is still a 'small' squeal when its cold, is that just because the belts are new ?

Had mine done last service and 2 days later the aircon pump baering went. A bit of a coincident!!!!! frown.gif

The squeal is normal i'm told but they should have told you to take the car back after 3-4 weeks to have the belts tightened once they have losened up.

Thats interesting, they just gave me the keys back and said ..'there you go...', no mention of coming back after 3-4 wks for them to be tightened!.

yeh, same here but when the squealing persisted I took it back and they then told me about the re-tightening. Tossers.

Get a spanner and tighten the belts yourself!

Should take, err...

... 2 mins!
