I'm looking at putting my old auto Celica back on the road as I have just moved house and is now a longer commute and the petrol bill is going to cripple me. I phoned my insurance company who the zed is with (Sky insurance) and they informed me that my second car cannot use the no claims that is used on the Zed (9 years). Now, I'm Confused  . Will I start a new policy and then have 2 lots of no claims on the go? If I make a claim on the new policy I bet it will affect the other policy as they take into account claims on any vehicle, don't they? I just don't get how this works and how it is fair!!!!!!!

Can someone explain it to me pleeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaase. :D

Yep they make the rules, and we cant do a thing about it, the insurance companies shaft us at every oppertunity.

If you are over 25 you could put the Z on a classic policy, no no-claims needed but they will limit your yearly mileage. Then you can use your no claims on the other car.

quite a few of us have our insurance set up this way

You can only use your no claims on one policy BUT if you have a smash on either policy you lose the ncb on BOTH. Its a completely fair and just system, if you're an insurance company trying to scam money out of every one of your customers.... :xxx:

Hmmmm sorry sir we don't insure anything with any more power than a lawn mower lol

ah i did wonder if that was the case!

Although admiral have done me proud on my insurance renewal!

I got a clean license, 32, blah blah but still the insurance companies want to rip me off. For some reason I couldn't insure a push bike for what some people claim they're getting insurance for on here lol

best wau around it I found was trade insurance

I buy and sell cars a fair bit so it made sense

899 for me (24) and the mrs on any car
