January 8, 200818 yr My car idles well at 900 rpm. A little higher than stock but thats how I had it set and I like it :) Now I have changed my heater matrix the idle jumps to 1100rpm when the climate control is on. Not had it on for about a year as had no heater matrix or air con. Now the only reason I can think of for the idle increase is to power the air con pump. Well I no longer have an air con pump so I want my idle to stay at 900 with the heater on as that doesnt use loads of power like the air con. Do I just pull off the yellow plug or will that cause bigger problems?
January 8, 200818 yr Author sweet! i'll do it in the morning where abouts is it? I know the idle one with the yellow plug is rear of engine passenger side
January 8, 200818 yr On the body of the idle valve - the unit screws into the side of it pointing towards the centre of the car :)
January 8, 200818 yr Author right next to the yellow one then? I think I have read about it somewhere. Andy you are a star by the way :)
January 8, 200818 yr hmmm, i have the aircon dissconected, i will also do this, may help my infuritaing running prob
January 9, 200818 yr Quick solution is to press the 'econ' button when you have the aircon on - this disengages the compressor clutch and turns the valve off.....
