What would be the approx cost for an engine rebuild on a TT Zed. Engine is currently losing water & has very low compression on 2 rear cylinders ??

Where could i find a GOOD used engine ??

Thx

Hello mate, Where in the north east are you? Hopefully Andy Duff will be around soon

I have all the rare bits you can't find :tongue:

Headgasket failure.

Very approx costs :

Labour to Remove and refit engine - £600

New headgasket set - £150

Labour to strip and remove heads - £200

Engineering shop labour to Pressure test and resurface heads - £200

If you want to replace rings, full gasket set and bottom end bearings then budget for an extra £300-£400

Its also an ideal time for 60k service (if not already done), and to get the turbos inspected.

There is a good chance you may require a new EFI loom as they become very brittle with age and when removed and refitted they often have broken connections.
