This is not one of the best of examples, very dented and scratched bodywork, but very low miles of 22,500. Exterior Grade was D, (very poor), overall Grade 3.5 but only because of the low mileage otherwise this a Grade 2.5/3 car... anyhow it's one of the first i've seen in a while, even from the pic you can tell the bodywork is not that great!! Interior does look good:), the car itself is a 2+2 TT Auto...

i would say it's a sports car, race car and grand tourer - or how about a sports tourer! whatever you want to call it - it's a great car. been really enjoying driving one again for the last 3 months - what a beautaye! OUW! the ease, the effortlessness, the sturdiness, the surge, the grace, the class - what a machine... to be quite honest i don't think that even nissan knew how great it would turn out - something about the car just clicks maybe its the wheelbase proportions, maybe the engine power delivery, maybe the handling - the combination is just ovewhelming... every road becomes a pleasure, the road imperfections are dismissed in nonchalance while driver feedback is precise - a sort of removal of all of the noise from the information... and that engine - the power delivery is just sooooo effortlessly clear and solid... i think that nissan somehow stumbled into some perfection point. It's like they engineered it as good as they could and then on top of that accidentally tripped into some sort of synergy area where the combined factor quality overflows above the initial design specifications in every direction. Only felt like this is in hardcore racers, never in such a subdued cruiser... 300zx i love you

p.s. i wish we had a blushing smiley (/blushes)

Lol you sound like you're in love:), anyway well said  just a shame all the cheap Jap imports has had such an adverse effect on ZX values... Although I imported ZX's from Japan I always went for the best late models and never went for the cheap non desirable stuff which so many importers went for, so atleast I have a clear conscience in that I did not add to the problem:)
It's a Jap Capri end of

yeah, but like a 2.8 tickford at least ;)

iv got to say, as much as i love the Z32, I would not say its the most perfect looking car to me! if money was no object there are many finer looking cars! Lamborghini Murchelego - drool!! :D

Till you get up close and they dont look that great really. specially for the money

Supercar., Hypercar....You cant class any particular car as being either as they are both just media invented labels with no rules on selection, both the 300zx and NSX were labeled as supercars by the media when they were releaed......wether anyone wants to class them as such - who gives a ****.

The 300zx is a Sports car or GT, depending on configuration. The SWB Manual is more of a sports car, and the LWB auto is more a GT.

agreed - awful heavy drive, too... 2 friends of mine one each - both said it was crap... drives like a tank - especially on motorways

well put - my kinda guy... ;) or as Mr Blonde so aptly put it "If they hadn't done what I told 'em not to do, they'd still be alive"

I think they did, have you read this little book

oh no, that book £75-£250 on amazon! wtf!? where can i get a copy - please don't make me buy this...

Seen one on e-bay today with a starting bid of £2.50 + £6P&P.

Ye i paid £12 for it a few years ago, but as said cheap on ebay now, a good read

Ye i paid £12 for it a few years ago, but as said cheap on ebay now, a good read

i'm afraid that might just be a starting bid :(

Certainly isn't. NSX is a superior and very different car to the Z32. It's mid engined for starters, out handles the Z32, is better built, holds its money, more reliable and developes the same BHP as the Z32 without the need for turbos.

I think the NSX is a great piece of engineering but in supercar terms it is so underpowered and lacking any kind of prestige at all. I think it is finally starting to look a bit dated too........

I just hope Honda replace it but judging by the new GTR we will have to pay rip-off britain prices..........33k to 66k WTF!!

Not a bad price - i think!

2 Others on ebay, one 30k and one 40k, but they are super low mileage and one is 1 of 13 (i think) in that particular colour. :)

And cheapest on auto trader is 19k! So thats not a bad price. :)

For that money NSX's are a joke. :slap:

Same money gets you a sweet handling 2+2 Ferrari 456GT V12 check the front-mid transaxle concept (as copied by Nissans new GTR 10 years later) sub 5 sec 0 to 60 nearly 200mph and bring the kids along or an

F355, five valves per cylinder mid engined super car described as one of the best handling cars ever in history........Clarkson "As close to perfection as anyone has ever come".

Both Fezza's will be super low mileage and owned by someone who never scrimped on maintenance or bolted stuff on cept maybe a Tubi exhaust

I did the whole NSX drool thing a few years back and then drove one back to back with a F355 no contest. The economics of the NSX's will never work because by the time people can afford them they do not have the type of prestige most are looking for. Unless you want 14year old boys who spend too much time on gran turismo worshipping your ride then other choices make more sense.

Long story but for the price of the NSX I was about to buy I now have a V12 Ferrari that only 146 were ever made in RHD it looks and goes the nuts and my missus likes it too because it came with matching luggage. It is no co-incidence the NSX has not been replaced. It is hard for anyone knocking out millions of Honda Civics to ever convincingly play the exotica game.

Ask a women. We went for test drive in the R8 the other day and her indoors's reaction? "It is not special enough" and when returning to park next to the TT in the showroom......"It looks too much like this one"

It's crap up here. I'm in Worksop at the moment. What a dreary place. Like a ghost town here!

Hey Si why were you in MY town??

You have not turned into a Heroin Mule to Finance a NSX Have you?

I agree with most of the above, but I can tell you the main reason why the NSX price is holding so strong is because in Japan they are regarded so highly. Thus 1991 bog standard auto examples are making 2 million+ at auction / UK equivalent of £13K... a UK dealer who imports that car will not sell for less than £14- £15K... because of the economics no one is importing them from Japan, just too risky... consequently UK prices remain ultra strong because of limited UK numbers...

I agree they are holding values and ultimately I have to concede that the only super car thing Honda got right with the NSX was the rarity factor but that was not by design. Honda themselves will tell you they did not sell anywhere near as many as planned in the two prime target markets of japan and europe which is why they have been so shy about doing a replacement. Yes the handling IS legendary BUT and this is never mentioned it was never road tested with anything more than a weedy 280bhp so you have to say that the handling was really un-tested at true supercar levels of performance.

Ironically all of the same was true of the Z in its day which sold well on initial launch complete with the 'fastest round the ring' time etc. but sales fell off a cliff due to an appreciating Yen (at the time) and the 'anti-prestige' of the Nissan badge.

It is no co-incidence really that the Nissan logo is totally missing from the new GTR.

Again as with the Z it was only america where the NSX sold well (re-branded as the Acura NSX.) Just like the Z the yanks could buy it in numbers because they are not carrying the baggage of the must have 'sports heritage' that we crave in europe. My mates dad who bought a brand new Z on launch tells of the laughter he got from all quarters when he fessed up to paying 30k for a Nissan...................Still

The japanese keep on trying to do that porsche-for-half-the-money-trick but realistically who aside from the japanese actually want that as a 'value proposition?' Sure a few enthusiasts will see the value, the engineering and performance but then everyone will have one and the clueless will still be muttering 'poor-mans-porsche' as you drive-by.

It is exactly the same with the NSX Nearly-a-ferrari-but-not-a-ferrari

100% agreed! My man... ;) One additional thought only - the new GTR will sell well as it's porsche turbo performance for c2 money... Looks more special and I think today's market is more interested in GT-R as a prestige brand with more exclusivity than porker... Let's see how many they make, but my guess is it will outsell the r34 by a factor of 10 if they can produce that many... plus importers will bring them into the uk at far lower than our usual UK rip off prices... GT-R at £40k - yeah, baby, YEAH! :smw:
