Ebay is what it looks like, an online auction. You can get some good deals but do run the risk of getting ripped off. Make sure you only buy from someone with a good rating for selling and you should be ok. If at any stage you are not happy pull out.

I have used it quite a bit and have been lucky.

I've bought a few Myth & Magic studies from there with no problems at all.

I've had some good stuff off ebay, mainly computer related - however, I have also been ripped off to the tune of £570, so be careful.

 

Deals between bidders and sellers in the UK and USA are protected by law, however, deals with other european countries arent always, as I found out.

Yeah, I got fleeced by someone selling pirate s/w claining it was pukka. Only £50 or so but annoying nonetheless. Watch out for people with low ratings or who have recently changed their ID.

I bought my pinball table from a guy on ebay, good deal and perfect table but in hindsight I would have preferred to source it in from a business.

 

Use Google to find a supplier for what you want - a few choice words in their search engine (it searches Dejanews) and you can source whatever you want.
