Can this be done or is it on the cam cover for a reason? I wanted to move it over next to the fuse box,

thanks

It is advisable, if left on the cam cover they can overheat and fail. Just a case of carefully cutting back the shielding on the loom. Mine is mounted under the nose panel.

just done this today moved and replaced my old series one to a series two ptu and located it next to the fuse box. if your careful you can gently bend the bracket holding the two connectors(one brown one grey i think!) and use the original screw holding that bracket and the fuse box down to fix the ptu in place.

Yep, as above quite an easy job to do, mines also under the nose panel. But then it fits better there if you've removed the original filter box and replaced it with an after market one (Apexi/Blitz etc)
