I have just looked at hire cars for one day to tkae me and the family to the airport, now bearing in mind I wont be comming back and I need a large car I thought I would hire one rather than bother friends and family.

It's the Airport drop off that costs you! Hire from the airport and return to the same and it'll be a days hire. ......go from thier offices to the airport and you get an airport surcharge :-( always been the same...

OMG what a coincidence, I spent about 2 hours today getting a hire car for a family friend... cheapest I got was £62 from 1car1... best bit is no deposit upfront!! Budget rental was indeed £155!!, my jaw hit the floor when the guy goes a Mondeo is £155!!

£62 for a 2 day hire of an 07 Astra 1.6 is hard to beat me thinks:)

there and back my chofeur was £80 notes from s'end to Gatwick
