hi 300 gurus,

i have a prob with my breaks,thay are squeaking big time,now ive had them taken apart and cleaned and copper greased,pads are good and disc are good to, thay go quiet for about ten mins then thay are back to the nightmare of squeaking again.please help :confused:

Sometimes the pad and disc combo makes them squeak... are you using OEM pads? I had this on a ZX and it was due to a poor quality pad...

I just changed the front and rear pads on my supra, disks look fine.

 

They were ok for the first 20 miles but now squeak like hell at low speed!

 

I think i put the anti sqeak plates back in

 

Oh well at least you hear me coming!

when you put copper grease on pads,did you just put grease on back of pad.if so put a small amount of copper grease on the metal edge of pads where it sits into brake caliper. also same info that import-ance told you about good quality pads.

thanks for the info i think i might have to change the pads,was looking to get red stuff,shouldnt need to change the discs tho would i?
