Buying a Z

Desperately want a TT Z but unfortunatly due to my age can only get insured on a UK car. Im gunna look at 1 tomorrow probably, its a 92 TT manual with full service history maintained by nissan which sounds good...but here comes the bad bit apparently its done about 130k. She didnt mention anything about turbos being replaced etc.. The cars at £6000 but id probably only offer 5000-5500. Is it worth bothering with such a milage as i cant afford to buy it and have everything replaced in a month or 2...

Thanks

Rob

The engines last forever. I bought mine with 139,000 miles on the clock. Its done 151,000 miles now and still going strong with no problems and I am sure they are still the original turbos. How ever I did buy mine for £4500.

£6000 to me sounds expensive.

Thanks for the help guys!

I'll try them but so far insurance for a UK TT is about £1600, but for a NA Import well people wont do it but i got 1 quote for £3500 TPFT. eek!

Anywho ill give em a bell.

As for 6k bein a bit much for the car i gotta agree with you but its obviously cos its a UK car and there arent many about, especially manuals.

Thanks!

Rob,

Norwich Union wont load the premium for Imported 300zx but it has to be the twinturbo.

So if you can give em a ring you might get a result!

By the sounds of it you are only about 20.

When I was 21 I was with Tesco. Strange but true. Now I am with A-Plan.

Dont mod your car, being a youngster like us. They add about 5-10% on to your instuance just for a filter. Not so bad when you are an old git like the most on here or a woman a few others who pay between £360 and £600 for insurance. But you will have to pay an extra £150+.

I was too given over £2000 for an NA and £1,100 for a UK TT.

Any way on a good note. Its good that the car has got a full Nissan service record. I got loads of history with my car showing good regular services. Maybe one reason why mine has lasted so long.

Where are you from Rob?

Stuart

Also if you get it from a Nissan garage you will get 3 months warranty. I think it is the minimum requirement by law.

Thanks 4 the help guys, tried Firebond, a UK TT is £1500, not to bad for a 19 yr old. Didnt quote me for an import.

Stuart, im in Salisbury near southampton smile.gif
