hi there - i can barely see half of the lights on my dash switches (except for indigo dials) - they are really faint - also was there any illumination on the elec windows as mine does not have any

 

any guides on how to change this? also when i put sidelights on the lights on my heater pod disappears! ahhhh :cry:

sounds like you got a short somewhere

 

but no the elec windows switches dont light up i dont think

dont wanna sound funny but first check that you have not turned the dash dimmer down on the right hand side, you may have turned it down without realising what you were doing, i did this when i first bought my z was funny. its the two buttons on the left side of the steering wheel where the headlight switches are :)

oops just read your thread properly, thought u said the speedo lights were dim,

yeah prob a short, check all fuses anyway.

hi - its not that they dont light up at all its just that they are very dim and hard to read - would this be explained by a short?

The drivers side does,if you remove the door switch you`ll see a hole housing a bulb on the underside of the unit

it'll be the control unit in the drivers side footwell, start by removing the kick panel (very easy). Once removed you'll see a little white box on a metal bracket, thats the 1 you need to change, i got mine off andy duff( :bow: nice one fella) if nobody on here has 1 the part number is printed on to the part or you could try ebay to see if thers any ZEDS breaking for parts, hope this helps, i was gonna make a note of the part number aswell, doh :mac1: regards, Chris.

yeah it worked for me mate, only cost me £25 and it might save you a fortune in speeding fines :rofl:

err sorry guys but the only problem with lighting is for pods - nothing to do with the main dials e.g. speedo, temp as they all work fine with indigo dials - its all the switches stuff :D
