Please tell me i dont need to get under the car to change a simple handbrake leather gaitor?

i tried to take it apart today and no luck seems like its bolted from underneath....

???

Engine needs to come out lol :D

Seriously though, you need to remove the centre console (with the stereo in) which will reveal 2 screws for the section with the gaitors attached. Then remove the ashtray and there is a screw under there. Be careful as you lift it as there isn't much spare cable on the mirror/cig lighter connections...

im not talking about the gear gaitor im talking bout the hand brake gaitor, i unscrewed all them screws and took out the radio ash tray etc still feels like something is holding it down..... the middle arm rest needs to come out coz its attached to the handbrake surrounding.

i tried to do it myself and lost half the screws down the handbrake!! it comes aprt easy but its a swine getting it back together iirc.

Middle arm rest is a seperate moulding (the bit with the lid). There is a clip near where the handbrake is which just needs a bit of a pull to undo....

Sorry just realised what you're trying to do :slap: Lift the lid on the armrest, lift the carpet at the bottom and there's some screws under there :)
