Hi all,

How hard is it to remove the hicas system do i have to change the power steering pump aswell.

Also does any1 have a good recommendation for a hicas elimator that doesnt cost the earth!

can ya not just buy a HICAS lock out bar??? forgive me for not being up on my z's yet still in skyline mode if this isnt the case.

I think you can get rid of it by doing a bypass in the steering wheel hub?? do a search and you will find it :)

You can do that as well but it cost a few more££ than above

you sure you cant just take out the hicas ecu??? then just take out the hicas warning bulb so it doesnt stay on :)

My hicas is removed.

 

Hicas cancel bar from z centre

 

New rear ball joints and track rod ends

 

all hicas hydrolic lines are removed

 

hicas pump removed

 

power steering pump just has the pipe looped back round to itself, proper way would be to fit one from an na as they didnt have hicas.

 

Just gotter remove the warning light now!

 

Cost about £400 in parts
