Well i have 3 months in which to find and fit a baby seat. Being a 1-car family, it will have to go in the Z.

We went to Halford's today and none of their seats could fit in the back, and the fitter suggested that a Nissan dealer might be able to suggest a seat. I was a bit dubious about this, because the seat didn't fit by a lot.

So anyway, i figured if anyone would know if ther'es a baby seat that will fit a Z then it's you guys.

Any ideas?

what you have to do is get some expanding foam and a bin liner. fill part of the bin liner with expanding foam and then mould it into the "bucket" bottom seat untill flush with the top. wait until set..... then any normal child seat should be able to fit ok.

Hiya,

in a similar position myself, try the "search" option - baby seat brings up all kind of info!! If I remember rightly there's a Britax one that fits the rear seat of the zed, can't remember the model though, sorry.

Assume you've already got the 3-point rear belts in yours, had to fit them in mine

All the best,

Steve

i was being serious. the idea has been covered a couple of times, but moby may be right do you have 3 point harnesses?

i thought the main issuse with seat fitment was the instability of the bottom of the car seat due to the 'bucket' of the z

mmm how do you know these things gaz, fair play, i had 2 of my grankids out today 5yrs and 4yrs i think, at this stage, they are actually safer in the back with no child seat, as the back seats in the z are so deep and the seatbelts are comfy they are quite secure, when they were younger it was a nightmare as i would take their parents seats they were like rocking horses on the seats, only thing that worked was the rear facing baby seat on the front seat for the first couple months

i treasure the fact that one of my grandsons came came home from the hosp after birth in the z
