The reliability of my digital clock seems to be getting worse and worse. I have done the repair on twinturbo.net and it was ok for 6 months but now it is going down hill.

Is it worth replacing the resistor and trying it again or is always going to be FUBARed?

How much do you charge for a 100% working clock? Will one of yours work forever?

The problem is never the resistor, in my experience. I have posted a couple of times what you need to do, if you're a soldering whizz - try a search. If I fix it it's guaranteed to work forever (well at least as long as the car lives ;) ). Isn't that what they call a lifetime guarantee ? Cost £10 including return postage etc.

had a good search and this is the only relevant bit i can find.......

ok, a summary- "Don't waste your time replacing the resistors, that is seldom the problem. Just resolder every joint on the board, paying special attention to the links between the double sided board, under the display, the big surface mount resistors and the power connections."

£10 sounds like a good price but i have got nothing on this weekend so i am keen to see if i can do myself proud and fix it myself.

Any other advice other than the above, Andy?
