I have got some friends in Canada and was thinking of buying some stuff from the USA sent to them and for them to mail it to me or bring it over when they next come back.

Does anyone know how much the import duty between the US and canada? surely it would be significantly lower than US to UK/Europe?

thanks guys. Looks like it could be a route to go down. It is Nissan parts from Courtesy Nissan so maybe they are made in Japan or is there a nissan factory in USA?

Is it a longer winded process to try and prove that they were made in N.America or is it all automatic?

It's about where it's shipped from not where it's made. There is bound to be a government web site which tells you what it is, but it certainly won't be much.

Usually there's no duty if it's being shipped to a different state. Otherwise it's around 6%. Either way it's fook all compared to the UK's 17.5% FFS.

If anyone on here needs an Electronic/IT Engineer in Canada, then I'm gone ;) .
