while we can import anything from anywhere as regards cars there is a vrt (vechicle registration tax) they have now added 4 more catagories based on emmissions all aimed at they bigger cc cars, we are being penalised because of all the suv owners :rant: :rant:

Mines up for renewal this month, wish I could afford a full year now, it would only cost me €1,109 :mac1: new rates come into effect 1/02/08

i know dave mines for renewal this month as well, but i only ever do it 3 months at a time because with these cars you never know if it could be off the road for periods during the year

:rant: :rant: :rant: :rant: Seems everything is against owning a decent car over here now. Shit roads, shit petrol, sneaky lazy police who want easy targets, and now this. Well **** every one of them , I won't be forced into driving a 900cc deathtrap, will be taxing my car MY way ;)

 

agree the SUV's have brought this about. 95% of the hundreds of thousands of people who drive them don't even need them, they're just fashion accessories. They don't even enjoy driving FFS, it's just a chore to them and they're little brats.

 

Now all i'm going to listen to from everyone is "did you hear the budget? surely your selling that big gas-guzzler now? Tax is going up you know? going to cost you thousands isn't it? don't know why you need a car like that anyway, blah blah blah.........." :rant: :rant: :rant:
