I already have a sub box containing 2 full range speakers, but am looking to replace them with two 8inch Subs, and add two mid-range / tweeters to the rear pods.

 

The question is… I am keen on the Infinity Kappa range of speakers, so I am looking for a couple of 8” bass drivers which will provide the same ‘punch’ and ‘clarity’ without being ‘boomy’.

 

Can anyone, based on experience, recommend any speakers which will do the job?

i'm no expert, but i had two infinity 10" subs in rock boxes(rockford fosgate) a while back and powered them off a pioneer 2x100watt(rms)amp

tight as you like you dont need big enclosures wi them and they dropped really well for 10's
