Has anyone used Chips Away or similar?

I am considering using http://www.chipsawaylondon.com/

to clean up some paint paint chips and a scratch. Has anyone else

tried this? I am worried that letting the wrong guy near my car with a can of paint could make thinks much worse instead of better.

Any advice would really be appreciated.

yep used them.. first on the wifes car just to make sure.....stone chips and scuff marks...first class job... then i let the guy loose on my Z, stone chips scrath on both doors and he did all around fog / indicator lights... again first class job cant fault it, would use again for sure...

later...

Thanks etower,

I had a look at your ride. Looks great so they must have done a good job.

Was it the same place?

Any indications on price, their website doesnt make any indication other than half what a body shop would charge?

I have phoned chips away about six times. Their guy was supposed to come yesterday, but had "food poisoning"

Hope they get here eventually.

Yep - I'd be interested in the results too. I've got a few small chips around the place (well, my Z has but you know what I mean) and if chipsaway works, I can put off the respray for a while.

What did you feel about the price?

I got a quote off Nissan to sort out the stone chips on the front end. I almost pissed myself - £50. Getting it done next week along with the new pulleys before Billing, the old girl has got to look her best for JAE!

Chips Away is available at some Halfords locations. Any thoughts on using the local cowboy franchise vs the kids at Halfords?

Halfords may have set rates? Could run into davidp sickness issues if I use the local guy.
