Looks like the old limp home technique.

i no this is in the wrong forum but its abit urgent and i need some tech advice,

just drove about 2 mile then the car just died on me!waited abit then it started and stopped withtin a hundred yards,left it about 15 mins ,put a wet towel around the ptu(to cool it)the car got me home(2 miles)and then died again

IS IT THE PTU?

ANYONE NO WHERE I CAN GET 1 FROM?(TRIED NISSAN 270+VAT)

IF ITS NOT THE PTU,ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS???

IIRC you can replace the old type with the new type and I think everyone says do this?

I bought one recently from Courtesy, cost $224.52 including shipping but you still have to pay UK tax - not sure how much because I bought a strut brace as well but it would be less than £50. Still much less than Nissan UK for an uprated part.
